Sizing yourself up can be a little tricky, particularly with Quick Release, Single Prong and Lever belts - but we've created this guide to make it super simple and ensure you get a belt that's going to do the job. Please take a couple of minutes to read below our in depth guide to selecting the best fitting belt for you!

Important: It is critical that you measure yourself using a flexible measuring tape. It is not based off your pants size.

Step 1. Measure the circumference of your waist around the navel as pictured below. This measurement should be a "relaxed" measurement. Do not suck in or push out your abdomen.

Step 2. On each product page, there is a clickable 'Size Chart' link, which shows the corresponding ranges that will fit your "relaxed" waist measurement. We suggest when picking a belt, to choose one where you are close to the middle of the range, so it allows you to move up or down in size if required.

Step 3. If you are unable to find a belt where you do not sit roughly in the middle (perhaps you fit into the bottom range of a large belt, or the top range of a medium belt), then we recommend that you consider your future goals.

  • If you plan to stay the same around the stomach, you can purchase either size belt
  • If you plan to reduce around the stomach over time, we recommend selecting the smaller belt
  • If you plan to increase around the stomach over time, we recommend selecting the larger belt

Things to consider

  • Occasionally, there will be times where one customer will require two sizes of belts, to cover when they are in their 'cutting / competition' phase, and their 'regular training phase'.
  • Generally speaking, we naturally grow larger around our midsection as we age

Example 1

Sam measures his waist around the navel. His relaxed measurement is 102cm (~40").

Sam is interested in the "Legacy" belt, and clicks the corresponding size chart.

The chart suggests he is at the very maximum range of the medium belt, or in the middle of a large.

Sam would fit into either a medium or large size belt.

If he was going to be:

  • Stay roughly the same with slight fluctuations, he would select the large.
  • Cutting down with no further increase in size, he would select the medium belt.
  • Bulking up, he would select the large belt.

Example 2

Chris measures his waist around the navel. His relaxed measurement is 88cm (34.5").

Chris is interested in the "Legacy" belt, and clicks the corresponding size chart.

The chart suggests he is towards the higher end of a small, or the lower end of a medium.

Chris would fit into either a small or medium size belt.

If he was going to be:

  • Stay roughly the same with slight fluctuations, he would select the small.
  • Cutting down with no further increase in size, he would select the small belt.
  • Bulking up quite significantly, he would select the medium belt.

One final note to remember

All our lever belts are sold individually and do not include a lever buckle. Please remember to add a lever buckle of your choice. We currently offer three different series of buckles, that are all compatible, with any of our lever belts.
